The final report of the inquiry into Australia's IP Arrangements was released by the Minister for Industry, Innovation and Science this morning.
The Australian Digital Alliance (ADA) welcomes the sensible and much needed proposals for changes to Australia’s copyright law contained in the draft report of the Productivity Commission’s Intellectual Property Arrangement Inquiry, which was released today.
Copyright advocacy group the Australian Digital Alliance is urging the government to move swiftly on reforms that would allow online platforms, especially those that host third party content, to operate safely in Australia.
The announcement that there will be no changes to authorisation liability in the scheme to tackle online copyright infringement has been welcomed by the Australian Digital Alliance.
