Important changes to Australian copyright law passed today will protect Australia’s education, cultural and disability organisations and help them provide better services to our communities.

The recommendations of the Senate Standing Committee on Environment and Communications on the Copyright Amendment (Service Providers) Bill, released yesterday, are an important start to incremental change for Australia’s online service providers.
The Australian Digital Alliance (ADA) welcomes the proposed amendments in the Copyright Amendment (Service Providers) Bill tabled yesterday as an initial step towards reform of Australia’s copyright safe harbours.
